On signing: the macOS builds are signed and notarized by Apple, so they open without a fuss. The Windows build is signed too, so Windows names Eric Williams as its verified publisher. The Linux Flatpak is signed with peeza's repository key, which Flatpak checks when it installs and on every update. The checksums above let you confirm any download yourself.
On Windows, open peeza.appinstaller: Windows' App Installer fetches the app for your processor and keeps it up to date from then on.
On Linux, install the bundle for your processor with flatpak install --user ~/Downloads/peeza-*-x86_64.flatpak (or aarch64 on ARM). Flatpak fetches the GNOME runtime it needs from Flathub and adds peeza's own repository, so later versions arrive through flatpak update, your software centre, or peeza's Check for updates. On Ubuntu 26.04, if peeza has no launcher or icon after installing, run mkdir -p ~/.config/environment.d && printf 'XDG_DATA_DIRS=%s/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share:/var/lib/flatpak/exports/share:${XDG_DATA_DIRS:-/usr/local/share/:/usr/share/}\n' ~ > ~/.config/environment.d/60-flatpak-exports.conf, then log out and back in.
Legacy is peeza's first desktop app, built on Electron. It stays for macOS 12 Monterey and 13 Ventura, which the current Mac app can't reach — that one needs macOS 14. Same engine and the same transfers, in an older window, and it updates itself. On macOS 14 or later, take the macOS row at the top.

Install from a terminal

Same signed app, and it keeps updating itself the same way.

macOS 14 or later, with Homebrew

brew install ercwilcom/tap/peeza

Puts peeza in Applications and the peeza command on your PATH. The app updates itself, so brew upgrade leaves it alone.

Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12 or later

sudo wget -qO /usr/share/keyrings/peeza-archive-keyring.gpg https://apt.peeza.app/peeza-archive-keyring.gpg
sudo wget -qO /etc/apt/sources.list.d/peeza.sources https://apt.peeza.app/peeza.sources
sudo apt update && sudo apt install peeza

Adds peeza's signed apt repository — the same one the .deb adds — so updates arrive with the rest of your system's.

Windows 10 (2004) or later

No package manager: the app's own installer (peeza.app/download) puts the peeza command on your PATH.

Verify your download

A checksum only means something if you actually run it. Hash the file you downloaded, then compare the result to the row above — they should match character for character. If they don't, throw the file away and tell us.

macOS
